Extend Your Awareness of Dynamic Web Site CMS by Comprehending this Practical Guide

Posted in Great Software Tips, IT + More, Web Tips on February 21st, 2010

Circa nineteen-ninety-nine saw businesses start to use the web to sell their products, an expansion aided by web content management systems (WCM). WCM software has been refined to the point where it can easily operate alongside other computer programs to guarantee productivity in the workplace. A WCM, if used effectively, will lead to a massive financial gain to any business although it should achieve the following points. To choose and use a WCM is no easy decision, nevertheless a good or a bad choice will dictate your routine. Initially the information is transferred to the dynamic content management system which then starts arranging it, ensuring that it matches to predetermined parameters. For the benefit of intranet users as well as authorized external personnel, it organizes the information to be easily accessible.

WCM operation cannot work against the computer programs that are used alongside it. Aside from the ability to create and input information, you should also have the functionality to revise and resubmit it depending on your needs. As an example, envisage the process as being similar to the area in which visitors comment on a website where you are the moderator. Once the information is deployed on to the server, the WCM service needs to present it to the user making sure it is as fully intact and complete as possible. Ensure that your WCM can deal with features like proprietary software and/or files, alternate configurations to name but a few. Note that a WCM is required to cover much more than process these functions.

Instead, what we’re looking for is a code that’s been processed by the WCM and can be read by web browsers. Such web browser code sets that need to be supported include — but aren’t limited to — PHP, CSS, XML, HTML et cetera. Your dynamic web content management system can be expected to supply security. It can include maintaining the security of the applicable information and making it accessible only to staff including approved third party visitors. The dynamic CMS web content management system combines collection and management to improve the way information is handled. In closing, if your goal is to improve how your company manages its time, we endorse the dynamic CMS; for protection, processing and collation. You could not operate a better product.

Customers and Their CRM Encounter

Posted in Great Software Tips, Home Improvement + More, IT + More on February 13th, 2010

CRM might be a new term for most people but what it does and its relevance to businesses have been part of any business strategies ever made. CRM, or Customer Relationship Management, is very important in terms of getting and maintaining customers to patronize your business. In fact, the secret to a successful name among customers lies on the CRM strategies incorporated in your company. Even in online businesses, whatever kind of software they use, may it be ERP software or POS software, they should make sure that the software supports whatever CRM techniques they would incorporate in their business.

Customer relationship management is a strategy focusing on the customer making their experience excellent with the business. The customer facing operations aspect of CRM is vital because these are the individuals the customers have direct contact with. People can be the customer facing operations portion and provide the experience the company desires when they work in positions as customer service, sales, or any position that has direct contact with.

When you have direct contact with a customer and you are polite and courteous then you are creating a good experience for them and it makes them want to come back. This includes answering any questions the customer might have and if you don’t know the answer then finding someone who does. When you are rude or discourteous to a customer then you are creating a bad experience and potentially losing a customer for life.

Computer systems and other forms of technology might be the responsible for CRM also. This might include data terminals in a book store you use to look up books, public computers at a library, or the wireless access you would like to use in your bedroom. If the equipment you offer to a customer for use doesn’t work then this too is creating a bad experience which may also cause you to lose a customer. Especially, if you offer wireless Internet in a hotel room and it is not working. This is because many people will stay at your hotel because they need to be able to get work done while they are traveling. You will lose them as a customer if your equipment isn’t functional.

CRM is a strategy that focuses on every aspect of the business to create an outstanding experience for your customers. The customer facing operations is the portion of the business that has the most contact with the customer. If you have renovation ideas for your business, make sure that it includes improving your CRM.

Finding a Job Using the Net to Your Advantage

Posted in Great Software Tips, IT + More, Self Improvement Stuff on December 29th, 2009

The Internet offers huge opportunities for a job seeker, but also presents several possible challenges. It also adds several complexities, and a lot more things to consider…and be careful of.

Job hunting needs to be thought of as a personal, extremely aimed marketing process where you are the product. Your resume is an advertisement. Your extended network of colleagues is your inside source for information and job leads.

So where does the web fit in? At AA-Careers, we recently posted a job on Craigslist and got more than 650 responses in a week. For a single job. That’s increased job hunting competition.

Had a suitable candidate contacted us before we ran the ad, they could have secured the job before getting all that competition. How? By finding an employee at our company who became aware of the job prior to posting. Everyone knew of the job for at least 13 days before it was posted. Who in your network might know of a job that’s coming available soon?

Be sure to check your cover letter and resume carefully! When we did an analysis of the 650 resumes, we found a large number of errors. 63% of the applicants were easily eliminated with a fast-paced triage process. How? The same way any employer would. By rejecting resumes where the objective didn’t match our job. By rejecting prospects whose cover letters gave us reasons not to employ them, like "I know I’m overqualified but I really need a job". By eliminating job hunters whose documents that didn’t open properly. And by passing over prospects who didn’t bother to spell check their cover letter and/or resume.

So the good news is that job sites give you a feel of what companies are hiring, and for what kinds of positions. But once those positions are posted, the competition is intense. You can still try, if you have a well honed resume, designed to appeal directly and clearly to the recruiter. And if you have practiced interviewing – so you don’t stumble at a critical point.

Another potential problem to be aware of is how quickly you can be investigated on the internet. As we Googled several job hunters, we ran into some pictures and comments that were in questionable taste. Nothing larcenous, but enough to swing our thoughts about who to employ.

AA-Careers provides a encompassing set of services for Bay Area job seekers, providing our clients a personal career consultant, a managed job hunting campaign, modern tools like a personal website, video, highly targeted resume, and much more. Let us know if we can help you.

Be careful out there, and good hunting!

Crystal Reports: Making Data Crystal Clear

Posted in Great Software Tips on February 22nd, 2009

One of the most commonly used report-writing programs around the world; Crystal Reports have been in use for more than 10 years, though many did not realize they were using it. Not specified by name and commonly grouped with other programs, this innovative reporting tool has only recently begun to garner the attention it deserves. Taking dull, flat reports and turning them into exciting visual displays, Crystal Reports are a must-have for any contentious business.

The job of Crystal Reports is to take basic data and change it into a report which is not only easily-understood, but pleasing to the eye. By allowing the user to call upon almost all types of charts, maps and graphs, this program grants a new level of freedom to report generators. Also capable of entering texts, tiles, columns and diagrams, users are able to generate personalized charts and maps, as well as allowing them to save their reports and enter new data fields, at a later date, saving a great deal of time and work. Crystal Reports opens the business to a wide variety of options, allowing information to be sent to all networking computers, to be placed on the Web, or making printer-friendly versions that can be used in presentations.

At first glance, Crystal Reports may seem very intimidating to the new user, especially when one encounters Crystal Reports boot camps and high-priced schooling that is advertised on the Web. Fortunately, a large portion of this program relies upon drag and drop technology, simplifying what others would have you believe to be very complex. Additionally, many publications offer step-by-steps and how-to guides on using this popular program. With patience and a willingness to explore, Crystal Reports are easy to use and provide high-quality work with very little expertise.

Microsoft Moves to Small Business Accounting/Retail Market - Stakes and Thoughts

Posted in Great Software Tips on February 19th, 2009

In this small article we will be looking at the new opportunities for Microsoft Small Business Server specialists, but rather look at the global business strategy and possible ways of future ERP modules standardizing and interoperability. This is important to get into consideration for midsize and large corporate business IT decision makers. Let’s look at the chronology and possible future development.

• Great Plains Software acquisition. When Microsoft took leading position on the operating system market and released stable and reliable Windows 2000 Server, the next logical step would be getting into ERP market. Microsoft decided to try midsize market, and the reason is probably this - it is wise to create small accounting as the extension to Microsoft Office, not to purchase existing small application. However if you plan to try midmarket - you better purchase something established with broad client base. Developing midsize package from scratch might deplete all the resources. As the stake on Great Plains was high - Microsoft formed business systems subdivision - Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions, later on Great Plains name was taken off and now we see Microsoft Business Solutions.

• Navision Software Acquisition. There are multiple opinions among the MBS partners. Considering the fact that Navision Attain had strong clientele in Europe, and the fact that currently MBS promotes Navision on the majority of emerging markets: East Europe, Russia, Brazil - the point of view that Microsoft got very large pool of clients in Europe and one of the goals of Navision acquisition was geographic expansion.

• Axapta. Navision Software was indeed very robust and it was one of the Danish software “dragons” (in the good sense of this word), the other nice company was MacHanza. We would like here to credit Danish ERP vendors. Axapta was new product on the moment of acquisition and it is rich-functionality ERP and so - a rival to SAP, Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft

• Small Business Manager/Small Business Financials. This was natural way of downsizing the functionality of Great Plains Dynamics/Microsoft Great Plains to gain small business market. Small Business Financials is Great Plains Dexterity written accounting package. You see similar marketing moves from SAP and Oracle sides.

• Small Business Accounting 2006. It took Microsoft about four years to feel itself comfortable on the ERP market before it decided to create its own small business package, targeted to take over market share from QuickBooks, MYOB, PeachTree. Small Business Accounting 2006 is really nice application, which is excellently integrated with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Outlook. Microsoft is right - majority of Windows users spend their computer time in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel. And it create accounting application, allowing you to do 50% of work from Microsoft Outlook directly

• Microsoft POS. As you know that there are several thousand small retail businesses in the USA, using just one cash register and these folks have to use a lot of small Retail Management applications, which are competing on this market for a long time. And it is a good momentum to take over this unreliable and turbulent market offering cheap and solid rock solution, working with POS devises. Please, take into account that Microsoft has another high-end Retail Management system - Microsoft RMS, which can automate midsize and huge retail stores and chains.

• Market is taken over? Well - the last flint of Microsoft Small Business Accounting and Microsoft POS give customer an option to stay in Microsoft framework from the company inception till going public as a large corporation. This fact would be very difficult to ignore for such folks out there on the market as BestSoftware, SAP, Oracle, Sun.
